The Muscat portion is made in the same way the domaine makes its reds: whole clusters are layered in a fermentation tank where the weight of the bunches creates enough juice for fermentation to begin spontaneously

Fritz Haag Riesling Trockenes is a dry estate wine with delicate fruit and good acidity and minerality

Upon completion the wine was left to settle before being racked off its gross lees and allowed to further develop for several months before bottling

It finishes with dark toffee and warm cranberry sauce

Bassenon is not the district but the stream at the foot of the hill. Soil : granite and gneiss, typical of the south of this AOC area. Grape Variety : 90% syrah, 10% viognier. Viticulture : high density planting (8,000 10,000 vines per hectare). No insecticides few treatments (depending on weather), small amount of organic only fertiliser, with respect of soil
