This kokeshi represents a young girl wearing a red Furisode, which is a long sleeved kimono that in Japanese tradition is worn by unmarried women. The bow on the head and the inclined face highlight its beauty. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). The doll is 16cm tall and has a diameter of 6cm.
