Mentioned in 1540. Large dark red cherries that are almost black with good sweetness. Ripen relatively late in July, early August. The cherries are suitable for both direct consumption or cooking preserving. The tree is large with a wide crown. Best yield is achieved in a sunny location, nutritious and well drained soil.
