Buckles of this type were worn in Burgundy, Flanders and France during the 15th century, and were favoured by both men and women. Constructed from zamak, the buckle measures 7. 5 x 7 cm and is well suited to belts with a width of up to 5 cm. The buckle is supplied without a belt end.
