State of the Evidence A 2025 systematic review of BPC-157 in orthopaedic sports medicine identified 544 articles published between 1993 and 2024, and included 36 after screening: thirty-five preclinical, one clinical.[8] The review suggests BPC-157 enhances growth hormone receptor expression, along with several pathways involved in cell growth and angiogenesis, while reducing inflammatory cytokines.[8] In preclinical models it reports improved functional, structural and biomechanical outcomes in muscle, tendon, ligament and bony injuries.[8] It describes the compound as metabolised in the liver and cleared by the kidneys, with a half-life of under 30 minutes.[8] The review is explicit about the limits of that evidence, and those qualifications belong with its conclusion
